2. Unfair Demand on pretext of a fictitious super area increase

Emaar-MGF- The Palm Springs,Gurgaon
The Palm Springs Owners Association on Mar 21, 2011

Unfair Demand on pretext of a fictitious super area increaseCalling all owners of Emaar-MGF- The Palm Springs, Gurgaon – COME join hands with us in fight against the company on pretext of a fictitious super area increase!
At the eleventh hour of this much delayed flagship project, Emaar-MGF has slapped an outrageous demand of Rs.10-34/- lacs to all owners on pretext of a fictitious super area increase. The basis they give is that there is a clause in the agreement which says that for upto 10% increase in the super area, the company needn’t ask the clients and can demand them for payment against such increase when required. But the fact is that as per physical verification, the covered area is even less than that in the agreement!
A group of us Palm Springs owners have already got together and are fighting against this unfair demand from the company. There are already about 140 owners in this group and its growing by the day. We had meeting with their top management and so far they don’t have any answers to any of the queries that we put in and asked for proving us the increase in super area and support it with on ground verification.
We have also roped in a top legal firm and have already sent them clubbed notices. United we are a group of HNI’s and high profile corporate heads and have a very strong case and have already lined up a strategy to fight this unfair demand. The formation of a formal Association of the owners is already underway.
We request you to kindly all owners of this project to join hands with us. Kindly contact us at tpsingh@lynxoverseas.com orsamir@getsholidays.com and we’ll provide you all the info required on the developments with us so far.

Thanks & rgds

 3. Incorrect amounts demanded

Emaar MGF Palm Studio
Location: Gurgaon

Hi
We have bought a unit in Palm Studio, Golf Course Extension Road, Gurgaon.
The accounting department at Emaar is not clear on the amounts they are charging us. After several weeks, they realized their mistake and one of their Senior Managers (Parag Raj – 9910955445), acknowleged that they had charged us incorrectly and the company owed us Rs.17,670 which will be adjusted in the next installment.
However, when the amount was not adjusted in the next installment and I complained to their customer care, they started sending the payment schedules, statement of accounts without explaining the refund. Their statements, clearly, mentioned that they owe us 17,670!
When I got in touch with Parag, he said he will do his own analysis and call back in an hour. When no call came, I tried calling him several times, but he didn’t pick up the phone.
Is there someone at Emaar who we can escalate this too?
Thanks

 4. The bleak future of the EMAAR

Posted on Mon Oct 11, 2010 at 08:58:20 PM EST

Hi,
I booked a flat in the Emerald Estate project of Emaar MGF in August 2009. The construction was supposed to start in October 2009.

The company Emaar MGF took about 25% of the cost in 2009, but there is no news about the commencement of construction so far.

Does anybody know the status of his project?

Is Emaar MGF in trouble?
Thanks.

 5. Worried buyers’ concern

on Thu Oct 14, 2010 at 02:43:47 AM EST ,

Not only this, they have not even started their project in Mohal in near Chandigarh despite collecting from me 95% money in advance. There possession dead-line has already crossed and they have not laid a single brick yet. I have now taken them to court for this. After doing all this, I am wondering as to how are these people roaming free and why they have not been locked up to rot behind the bars.

 6. EMAAR CWG Scam

on Thu Oct 21, 2010 at 12:37:08 PM EST,

After the free publicity that Emaar MGF has got from the Commonwealth Games Village with faulty plumbing, cracked walls, leaking roofs, water in lifts – only the bravest of the brave will venture into their projects – big name – big marketing, big flop

 7. Cunning EMMR has swallowed my money

by Unregistered Visitors on Fri Mar 26, 2010 at 11:42:51 AM EST

EMMR on the whole is very cunning lot. I bought an Apartment from them back in 2006 and still they have not laid a singler brick and I am suing them for refund of my money. This shows how good or reliable, this builder is. My project name is- the views- Mohali Hills, Mohali, near chandigarh.

 8.  Tainted Image of the builder

9.  Something fishy lies with EMAAR

I am a NRI and have paid major sums of money to emaar for villas. i sent them about 20 emails all unanswered and 20 calls unanswered in nov/dec 2010. finally they answered in january 2011 sending an email saying they will get back to me soon on status of my villas . few days ago they send me a notice saying villa is cancelled . To All a new fraud is being planned by them beware and please contact me for joining the NRI rights group aginst this defunct firm.

10.  Mediocre Customer service

March 29, 2011 at 1:11 pm
Emaar MGF is known for overcharging and shoddy accounting. Their customer service team is clueless and does not care to explain the overcharge. To rub salt on the wound, they start charging interest on the overcharged amounts if you do not pay them!

11. Below par construction quality

ESPLANDE – A Bad Quality Construction

linee

Cheap and third rate construction not upto Emaar’s standard. I bought a flat with the hope that i would never need to question their quality of construction considering the reputation Emaar has, but I was surprised, it is worse than the cheap local construction. They have taken the buyers for granted.

Shame on Emaar!!!

Is this the same Emaar that has accomplished huge projects worldwide?

12. Unfulfilled Promises

Emaar MGF The Palm Drive Project

Date: Sunday, 10-Apr-11 20:56:37 CDT

Emaar MGF promised delivery of the apartments by December 2010. Judging by the work done so far (only 50%), it does not look like the project will be completed in less than two additional years. They have taken 90%+ money–no responsible director/manager will provide a firm date nor give market interest on the accumulated capital (payments), while we pay interest to our banks. Are there other people in the same predicament? We need to move these people without any further loss of time.
